Latisse Eye Solution (Bimatoprost)

Latisse Eye Solution is a prescription medication that elongates eyelashes. It is approved for the treatment of hypotrichosis of the eyelashes.

Latisse is a prostaglandin analog, which is a type of signal molecule that exists throughout the body. It works by increasing the amount of hair in the growth phase and for how long they remain in the growth phase.

Directions
Place one drop on the applicator and apply evening along the skin of the upper eyelid near the base of the eyelashes. Latisse should be applied once daily at bedtime. Repeat for the second eye once daily at night.

It may take up to two months to see noticeable eyelash growth. Latisse needs to be used daily to notice the effects.

Cautions
Do not use an applicator more than once, as this may introduce bacterial growth and increase the risk of eye infections.

Prolonged use of Latisse can cause a permanent darkening of the eye. This effect is permanent.

Do not use Latisse if you have ongoing ocular inflammation, as it may worsen the condition.
